Environmentally Friendly
Emrick Hauling understands the commitment that is required to fulfill our responsibilities to our environment. We also believe that it is our duty to leave our land in a better condition than we found it. EHI is doing just that. We retain 100% of the equine waste that we handle. Upon arrival at our composting facility the raw manure product is placed in windrows and carefully managed through the composting process to turn it into a nutrient rich bacteria free finished product. It is then utilized by a local farm to reduce the need for harsh commercial fertilizers on their crops.
Emrick Hauling has enlisted the help of several local, state and federal agencies to assist and guide us in ensuring that we are not only keeping our environment safe, but actually improving it. We also work with these same agencies to regularly test and inspect our product to be sure that the highest level of quality is maintained.
We at Emrick Hauling constantly strive to stay on the cutting edge of our industry by attending seminars and reading the latest studies conducted by various universities. We also work closely with, and adhere to recommendation of the Marion County Farm Outreach Coordinator. In fact, owner Don Emrick, serves on the advisory committee for the agent in charge of the Marion County Farm Outreach Program and will be the lead sponsor for the Marion County Manure Summit.
